CITY OF SAN FERNANDO Laus Group of Companies Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Lisset Laus-Velasco was awarded “Woman Entrepreneur of the Year” 2022 at the recently concluded EY Entrepreneur Of The Year Philippines awards.

The EY Entrepreneur Of The Year is an annual awards program that honors the Philippines’ top entrepreneurs for their contributions to the economy and society.
For more than a decade, EY has been committed to supporting the entrepreneurial cause in the Philippines, coinciding with the government’s focus on fostering entrepreneurship and grooming local entrepreneurs to take on the world market.

Other finalists to the award were Ricardo D. Abelardo, Jr., of Artemisplus Express Inc./Kitchen City; Roberto J. Chan of Atlanta Industries, Inc.; Allyxon T. Cua of Accent Micro Technologies, Inc.; Ana L. de Ocampo of Wild Flour Bakery + Café Corp.; Jacqueline Jade Y. Gutierrez of Beauty Refinery, Inc./BLK Cosmetics; Raymond G. Jarina of INTECO Isuzu Group of Dealerships; Robert Lo of RDF Feed, Livestock and Foods, Inc.; Jeffrey T. Ng of Cathay Land, Inc.; Ibrahim M. Nuño of Metro Stonerich Corp.; Aileen Y. Suy of Ana’s Breeders Farms, Inc.; Maria Francesca Tan of MFT Group of Companies; and Antonio D. Ynoc of Prime Movers Total Logistics, Inc.

LGC matriarch Tess M. Laus congratulated her daughter saying, “Congratulations Lisset.Your papa must be proud! We give back the glory to God!”

Lisset’s father is the late LGC founder Levy P. Laus.

The late Laus was a leading advocate for countryside development.

He served as president and chief executive officer of the Clark Development Corporation from 2006 to 2008.

In 1978, LPL put up a small automotive dealership—with meager capital and just three cars on display.

Lisset took over the company leadership when his father died in 2019.

Today, Laus Group of Companies is a diversified conglomerate of automotive dealerships and is now considered the largest multi-brand dealership network in the Philippines.
