CITY OF SAN FERNANDO — Microtel by Wyndham, one of the country’s leading hotel brands which pioneered the no-frills, great-value hotel concept in the Philippines, is set to open in the City of San Fernando, Pampanga.

The property under the joint venture between the Laus Group of Companies and PHINMA Microtel Hotels Inc. on Tuesday, August 15, broke ground at the Laus Group Complex along Jose Abad Santos Avenue in this city.

PHINMA Microtel Hotels Inc. President and CEO Jose Mari Del Rosario noted that the rapidly improving tourism infrastructure and business climate of the city prompted the company to set its foot in the province.

“We’ve witnessed so much progress here in San Fernando, the capital city of Pampanga. And as we strongly support Mr. Laus’ mission to promote countryside development and create employment opportunities, we will soon open Microtel by Wyndham Pampanga, which will definitely raise the bar of quality accommodation and provide travelers in San Fernando a world-class hotel that offers great value and distinctive service,” he said.

He added that the group saw the viability and potential of the location as it is strategically situated in the heart of the city’s economic hub.

“This is the perfect site as it is nearby the Laus Group Event Centre, restaurants, commercial establishments, and major thoroughfares in the city,” he noted.

The executive then expressed optimism that with the help of its partner, the new hotel will be able to maintain its proven reliability in providing consistently clean, comfortable, safe, and secure accommodations at remarkably reasonable rates.

“We are happy that the Laus Group decided to invest in the hotel business, and we thank you Mr. Laus for choosing the Microtel by Wyndham brand. Just like your passion for cars and customer care, Microtel too, is all about efficiency and customer satisfaction,” he enthused.

For his part, Laus Group of Companies Chairman and CEO Levy Laus said that he is positive that the new property will experience burgeoning success in Pampanga.

“Despite the many offerings we have from many possible partners, we chose the PHINMA group as they are trustworthy and reputable. They are the kind of partner that we aim to build and forge life-long partnership with. I believe that our partnership is designed to prosper and go a long way, just like the Microtel by Wyndham Pampanga,” he said.

Laus said that the construction of the four-storey hotel, equipped with 80 well-appointed rooms and facilities such as swimming pool and meeting rooms, will be completed in 12 to 14 months.

“Hopefully, before Christmas 2018, this hotel will be all set and ready to cater to our local and foreign guests, business travelers, balikbayans, and those who will be using the Laus Group Event Centre,” he said.

He noted that the Laus Group takes pride in having a world-class hotel brand under its network of companies ranging from car dealerships, insurance, media outlets, real estate, and restaurants, among others.

“I am happy not only for the people of Laus Group but the people of Pampanga and Central Luzon because we are accorded this particular privilege to provide them a renowned hotel that is the top of mind choice of budget-conscious and dynamic guests,” concluded Laus.

To date, there are now 13 Microtel by Wyndham properties in the Philippines, located at Acropolis QC, Baguio, Batangas, Boracay, Cabanatuan, Cavite, Davao, General Santos, Mall of Asia, Puerto Princesa, Tarlac, UP Technohub QC and South Forbes, in Sta. Rosa, Laguna.
